The Pokémon Company has officially announced new downloadable content for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, titled The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. This expansion will be released in two parts: The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.
The Teal Mask introduces a new region inspired by Japanese folklore, featuring original Pokémon and a story centered on local legends. The Indigo Disk offers a separate area with distinct environments and challenges, including the addition of a mythical Pokémon to the roster.
The first installment is scheduled for this fall, with the second following in winter. The reveal was made during a Pokémon Presents stream, a typical format for major Nintendo and Pokémon announcements.
This DLC aims to extend the gameplay of Scarlet and Violet, which launched in November 2022 and have already received several updates. Fans can expect more details as the release dates approach, but the initial response has been overwhelmingly positive across the community.
